Our Mission:
The Nick Forever Foundation was established in 2018 in honor and remembrance of Nicholas (Nick) Gene Edwards. Nick loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and boater. His untimely death at an early age left his beautiful daughter, whom he adored and spent many hours with fishing and boating, without her Dad. Our foundation seeks to inspire a sense of well-being by promoting emotional healing for children and by building community for families. We believe events and activities related to water, fishing and boating provide the perfect platform to fulfill our mission.
Our Vision:
Our vision is twofold:
- Focus on Children - To encourage healing and give hope to children dealing with difficult life events or situations by including and/or sponsoring them in foundation events.
- Strengthen Families - To foster community by seeking opportunities to create memories and strengthen family bonds through foundation events.
About Nick:
Our son, Nick, was a devoted husband and father and an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and boating. We created this foundation because of his love of the outdoors and water. This passion can be attributed to his father who also loves fishing and boating. Nick was hooked on “all things water” from the time he was a toddler. He was full of humor and loved people. He was engaging and his outgoing personality paved the way for many conversations about fishing and boating. He was happy to give anyone, and everyone, instructions on how to catch the “Big One, especially Bass”. Nick remains with us in spirit and it only seems fitting that our family honor and cherish his beautiful memory through this foundation created to pass along to others his love for the water, fishing, boating and people.
